Even though I have only visited here a few times, and enjoy the info on hunting and shooting, I get the impression this is not a site where one should voice some ideas that are contrary to the typical gun owner. I served in the military, am a gun owner, and love to hunt...and I support President Clinton. I don't support what he has done, but I am not innocent enough to think that any politician is spotless. If you think the president should not be above the law, he should certainly not be below the law. This "Independent Council" law, was a bad idea from the beginning, and apparently it will not be extended when it comes up for renewal in June. Our legal system gives everybody certain rights. That's why the police can't search your house without probable cause. The Independent Council, trashes that whole idea. They say to Ken, go find a crime to investigate. Spend whatever amount you want to. Give me 40 million bucks, and unlimited time, and I could uncover a "crime" in most anybody's past. An extra marital affair here, a lie on a job application, etc. Or perhaps none of you have ever told a white lie on that form called a tax return? That form that you sign at the bottom, swearing everything is correct, "UNDER PENALTY OF PERJURY". If we investigated every politician to the extent Star investigated Clinton, there would be no politicians. As attractive as that might sound, it would lead to anarchy. I have a feeling I won't be welcome back at this site after posting this, but as it says in the Subject, IMHO. Are all varmint hunters so radical as to not allow humble opinions that might disagree with the rank and file?
