Never had a Weaver, but I've heard good things about 'em. I HAVE had 2 Sightron scopes. The second was a replacement for the first, which Sightron said "checked out OK" - I sent it back when it failed to resolve a PD that I could see without it! The second was just as bad. As far as I'm concerned, Sightron is junk, IMHO.
