Bob, you aren't going to have a problem finding public land to hunt coyotes on. There are no seasons on coyotes, nor is a hunting license required, provided you don't keep the coyotes you kill. The game cops don't care if you keep one as a trophy, but if you have maore than one they expect you to buy a fur license. At the present price of pelts there is no reason to bother skinning what you kill. They have many coyote hunting contests in Nevada, just to keep the numbers down. I would be surprised if you weren't welcome on any ranch on which you asked permission to hunt. There is so much public land, however I wouldn't waste a bunch of time trying to find out who owns what and getting permission.I would buy a a Nevada Atlas & Gazetteer from DeLorme Press at WWW.delorme.com.....The atlas shows most trails and roads as well as private and public lands.
Good hunting,
Jim
