The .50 cal, in machine gun form, is very good at popping the wheels off of trucks and tearing up heavy equipment at over 3000 yards. It is even capable of effective indirect fire. The bulet will transfer energy to a target by virtue of it being half an inch in diameter. As it is the projectile is as big as most high performance bullets when fully expanded.
