The best one is the best one that fits your needs and you feel most
comfortable with. If you are not comfortable, or do not have confidence
in the gun, it will likely not be accurate enough for you. You will never
be satisfied.... come to think of it, I guess we are all never satisfied,
or else we wouldn't keep on buying new guns!!!! Thats half the fun...
Having said that, I love my Ruger... shoots great right out of the box. ALso
love my WInchester Heavy VT in 22-250. It shoots great as well (but still
working on THE load). Friend has a Savage in 223 9" twist which he cant get
to group worth a damn. I think in his case it is a classic case of lack of
confidence, plus undisciplined loading practices.
Bottom line, whatever fits you and whatever you have the best feel for. They
all will be pretty accurate right out of the box.
