.223 users--PLEASE read!

Im about to buy my first .223 and would like any suggestions about what kind of gun to buy.
Since I dont want to spend alot of money, I was thinking a Savage 12v or 112V
Anybody have experience with these guns??
Anything else in that price range I should consider??
