I know of three ways to solve the elevation problem:
1. Mount a scope with a lot of built-in elevation adjustment - typically 80 - 110 clicks. This is one advantage 30 mm scopes offer.
2. Shim the bases (or custom-make tapered bases) to make the rear base higher than normal.
3. Use Burris Signature rings with Pos-Align inserts, shown above. This system can give from 5 to 30 MOA more elevation.
