Well I'm not sure what was going on, I am aware that they sold the 243 sometime ago, but I guess I assumed they had some problems with it due to the fact they don't or at least quit offering it as an option on their web sight. I also noticed they stopped advertising it in gun magazines, only offering the 308 in the ads. When I spoke to the sales person ,she told me the 243 was in it's final phase of testing and evaluation and would be available soon. Maybe they just made some changes due to the lighter bullet complaints, don't really know for sure, she didn't sound too interested in talking to me about the product. I think the 1-12" would be better for the lighter bullets but we'll see.
