Hey all. Well, after a slow winter Predator calling we finally got the weather we needed to make things work. My buddy Scott and I left for NE California on Thursday morning just after a storm front pushed through the area. The way the Weather Channel was predicting, we would be in the area in between two large winter storms, perfect for calling Coyotes. We were using a Johnny Stewart call with the old standard "Grown Jack". By keeping the call in the warm truck and charging it every night, we didn't have any problems with the cold, snowy weather affecting it. Together we shot 8 Coyotes in 3 mornings of hunting (wind shut down the calling after noon every day)!! We both use .17 Remingtons, handloaded and once again the caliber performed great. All shots were within 100 yards, except one going about 225 yards. Here are a few pictures, I will post more on the page when we update in a couple of weeks. See ya, Eric
