JP, it's about 80F here today. Hope you get warm soon. You will probably want to shoot your PSS some before bedding action. If you have access to an inch-pound torque wrench, tighten the action screws to 65 in.lbs. Get close if you don't have a torque wrench. You will probably find that your rifle will shoot pretty damn good with no modifications. I shoot a 700VS, with the same bedding block. Shoots in 2's and 3's, with my handloads. Recently added Timney trigger. Wish I'd done that two yrs. ago. You definitely need to adjust the trigger, if you're not going to an aftermarket. It's easy. You're probably pulling at around 5.5lbs. now. I've gone down to 10oz., but am up to about 1.25lb. now.
