Well it was my first visit to eBay trading (on line auction) and I wound up buying a 1954 hardback edition of "Lucian Cary on Guns" for $5.00. I was the only bidder, can't wait to sift through it. Granted it's no J.M Pyne type of story, but I'll take it.
I couldn't believe the prices for the Mattel cap guns. One pair of "Fanner 50's" (SAA Colt army with 5 1/2" bbl) with holster in mint condition went for $306 (no I didn't bid on that one). A single "Fanner 50" sold for $75. Wish I kept mine in good shape. My 4 year old niece is playing with my brother's busted one. Check your basements, thar's gold in them thar cardboard boxes.
