Thats "if" they are in financial trouble. I dono. Remington has produced five essentually new rifles this year. Developed a new mag cartridge. Sending out a 72 page full color brochure just for the asking at thier website.Get thier catalog for 1999.As far as lefty models go, hey, somebody has to make them.
