I didn't have any trouble at all installing mine. JP provides detailed insructions with pictures. Only "fitting" I had to do was that I had to file a little on the part of the trigger assembly that engages the safety.
I installed the JP speedhammer with the JP trigger, so I don't know how it might perform with a stock trigger. Works great with the JP. Adjustments are simple. One set screw for overtravel, another for engagement. Trigger pull is not adjustable, but is controlled by springs provided and trigger/sear geometry. I don't think you'll have any trouble with the installation. Just shot my Bushmaster this afternoon. Shot just over .5", with a friend jammering in my ear about whether he had misplaced his Glock 30, or whether it was stolen.
