I've been trapping coyotes for a few years, and I have always used a old russian .22lr to finish them off with. Occasionally, though, I have had to shoot at them from farther away. The CCI stingers will go right through a coyote's chest at 120 yards, without needing to compensate for the drop of the bullet. My dad actually shot a stray dog once with those CCI stingers at 280 YARDS with ONE SHOT. I kid you not. Don't underestimate the power of these little pop guns. My dad still doesn't know how he did it.
