If you handload several bullet companies make a 90gr and 100gr varmint bullet for the .270. There may be even better ones. If you don't handload, then you are limited to what the factory produces. I haven't fired a factory round in over a year now since I started handloading, so I haven't looked in the stores at them. Look around and see if you can find some lightweight rounds. Buy 2 or 3 kinds and try them out is the only way to see if they are accurate in your rifle. I'm looking in my Speer manual and the 90grain TNT hollow point and 100grain hollowpoint and 100grain spitzer would be aewsome in the .270! Around 3500fps. Not sure if twist rate in your rifle will stabalize them so you may try and find some 100 to 120grain factory stuff. You can mail order the varmint rounds from Midway or Natchez if you can't find them localy.
Good luck, PoH-100
